We are close to ending the year. It's during this time we get to round up the things that have happened during the year throughout. When it comes to cars, one of the things that are important for automakers to check is how many units sold for the four quarters. And in this article, we are going to round up the best cars of 2019 when it comes to sales figures. These numbers aren't yet final, as Q4 has yet to be tallied. But, so far, here are the five car models that are sitting on the top 5 spots.

Ford F-Series

With over 448,000 units, Ford F-Series trucks are still clinching on the top spot and have been doing so for more than 42 years. It's quite a feat, but it's not surprising at all. It still is one of the most reliable trucks out there in the market today, and Ford has made sure that every upgrade should maintain or surpass its quality. The Ford F-150 already has 13 generations of models, but reports state that the company is focusing on its 14th edition of the F-150. And judging by the way it's going, the top 1 streak they're holding on to might stay that way for a long while. Here's to year 43.

RAM Pickups

It's safe to say that RAM is one of the most trustworthy trucks out there. It's flexible enough to become a family vehicle to drive around the city and a truck strong enough to do heavy workload. But apart from that, here are some reasons why, so far, RAM sold 299,480 units for this year. First of all, Dodge - the company that produces RAM pickups - keep performance and comfort in mind when it comes to their trucks. And perhaps because the company offers RAMs in manual transmission - something manual car fans approve. But whatever the reason is, RAM is still a favorite among Americans.

Chevrolet Silverado

The number of units sold in the top three proves that pickup trucks are more in demand now than ever. And perching at the third spot is yet another pickup - the Chevrolet Silverado. So far, the Silverado already got 255,463 units sold for 2019. This number shouldn't surprise either; the new 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 4WD is like a spanking new truck in itself. It comes with several features and tech that truck lovers couldn't help but get one. Although the latest Silverado edition has got many upgrades, Chevy made sure that the Silverado is still as capable as ever.

Toyota RAV4

For 2019, the RAV4 has made some significant and great changes, aesthetics-wise. And this factor certainly helped in attracting customers as, for this year, Toyota has sold 200,610 units. Aside from its to-buy-for looks, the Toyota RAV4 also boasts of its spacious interior (which is award-winning, by the way) and its ability to be the perfect car for gentle commuter and the choice for a frequent off-roader at the same time.

Honda CR-V

Not saying that sedans are out of fashion, but the trends nowadays are in between trucks and crossovers. And the Honda CR-V is the crossover has the second-highest number of units sold for this year - more than 176,994 units. But what's really baffling is that Honda CR-V hasn't gone through significant changes and upgrades for two years now. But that doesn't seem to faze buyers from getting one. We're not entirely sure what it is but, Honda, you are doing something right. And with that, this model is hanging on the 5th spot of the best cars of 2019.

And these are the best cars of 2019, judging from the number of units sold so far for this year. The takeaway is that trucks and crossovers are dominating the top spots. So if you're looking to buy a used truck or used crossover, click on the link to see our list of cars available.
