If we haven't told you yet why the 2020 Hyundai Sonata is a great car to start the new decade, well, it is. And we're gonna tell you why.

The Sonata has been around the market for quite a while now. But it didn't get a great reception at first. It has been the same way until the Korean automaker decided to make a design overhaul on the model in 2010. As a result, the Hyundai Sonata garnered more than 200,000 sales in 2012 alone, making the model one of the most successful ones from Hyundai - if not the most. And for 2020, the car manufacturer wants to maintain the Sonata's glory, which is in the brink of waning down. But will the Sonata be able to continue its sweet song? Let's find out.

2020 Hyundai Sonata - The Breakdown

One of the reasons why the 2020 Hyundai Sonata is going to be big next year is that the Korean brand goes all-in with it. For their selected edition limited, the engine is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that has a horsepower of 191 (that's 142 kW for their hybrid). It also comes with an 8-speed automatic gearbox that runs up to 32 miles per gallon based on combined fuel economy.

Other features included in the 2020 Hyundai Sonata is lane keep and lane follow assists, collision-avoidance assist, automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, and driver-attention warning, among many others.

Sedan Is Not Dead

News and statistics say that electric cars, SUVs, and trucks are on the rise. But sedans might be here to stay with the 2020 Hyundai Sonata. The 2020 edition has an upgraded design that makes the car more sporty-looking than ever. The upper trim line comes with a special key-fob button that takes your car out of the garage on its own with just a simple press of the button. When you forget where you put your keys, that is okay: the Sonata comes with an app you can use your phone as your spare key. With that tech, however, you need to have an Android phone for now as the app is not available for iOS at the moment.

Comfort in Every Drive

We mentioned that the 2020 Sonata has a more sporty design, but it's not as sporty-looking as an actual sports car. Still, comfort is everything, and we think this is what is Hyundai is aiming for. This sedan has a spacious interior that allows five people. With its engine, the Sonata drives quietly, allowing each ride to be smooth and more comfortable like it hasn't been before. The engine and design aims to lessen the noise, harshness, and vibrations - an aim Hyundai successfully hit. The only noise you'd hear is the excess wind coming in through the cabin when driving on the highway. Apart from that, the 2020 Hyundai Sonata provides a peaceful and smooth drive - just don't fall asleep when driving.

The 2020 Hyundai Sonata comes in a rear-wheel drive, but an all-wheel-drive is going to be available when the N-line hybrids are available. The N-Line won't be available until the fall of 2020. You can also check our Hyundai line-up by clicking on the link.
