New Car Companies - Are They Going To Be The Classics Of The Future?

New car companies came in drove ever since Tesla released its first car 12 years ago. And although it's kind of hard to make an automotive startup, the new car companies listed in this blog post made it seem like it's just a walk in the park. But are they going to thrive like Elon Musk's did? We're about to find out in the years to come. But for now, here are the new car brands to watch out for in the streets.

Waymo

Google has been on a roll for a decade and a half now. It's the undisputed biggest search engine in the world, created Android OS, and helped developed Waymo in 2009. It's not a car company, but rather a car software company. The LLC started out as a Google project before it became its own subsidiary. Waymo aims to provide software for driverless technology and create a ride-hailing. Waymo has a long way to go - it still has its faults and hiccups (remember Elaine Herzbergs?). But once the tech is perfected and, with Hyundai USA's former COO John Krafcik leading the company, it looks like we're going to use "Google" as a term for driving.

Workhorse

Established in 2016, Workhorse is said to be one of the new car companies most likely to become a renowned brand. The company's first salvo is the Workhorse W-15, a truck that has an uncanny resemblance to the GMT900 Chevy Silverado, but a little bit futuristic. The W-15 is a plug-in electric all-wheel truck that has a carbon-fiber panels and 80-mile electric range. Everything looks good, except that Tesla's Cybertruck is going to be a heady competition. So, may the best truck wins?

Lucid Motors and Byton

When you combine the powers of the executives from Mazda, Tesla, Apple, and BMW i, what do you get? Both Lucid Motor's Air and Byton's K-Byte. These two new vehicles are up there in the luxury and electric category, just beside Tesla Model S. The Lucid Air is the more expensive and luxurious. At the same time, the K-Byte is more economical with a screen that stretches from pillar to pillar. Just like Workhorse, both Lucid Motors and Byton have some serious competition to pit against. These are the luxury electric entries from Audi, Jaguar, and Porsche.

Fisker

Fisker came to the market by way of Henrik Fisker, former designer for Aston Martin and BMW. The new car company promises to bring EMotion, a scissor-door sedan, by this year. They also schedule to release Orbit, a fully automated, electric shuttle. Though Fisker has a chance to bring itself on the ranks of most significant car companies in the future, the only person that could put it to a setback is Fisker himself. Way back in 2013, his titular went kaput due to battery supplier issues. Whether this could be a learning curve and a time bomb waiting to happen - again - we can all just wait and see.

W Motors

Last on this list of new car companies to watch out for is Dubai-based W Motors, makers of Lykan Hypersport. If you haven't been in touch with pop culture for the past few years, the powerful Hypersport appeared in the "Furious 7". Another vehicle from W Motors is the Fenyr Supersport, an 800-hp supercar assembled by Austrian contractor Magna Steyn, who's responsible for the Mercedes G-Wagen. Will W Motors get a major breakthrough now that the Fast and Furious franchise ended? Perhaps another movie or franchise can help.

These are just some of the many new car companies sprouted up just recently. Are you going to consider investing in some of their creations now? Or are you going to wait for any of them to become a household name? Meanwhile, for some fantastic used cars in Utah, click on the link.
